What It Is

What Is a Laser Cutting Machine?

A fiber laser melts a narrow line of metal while assist gas blows it clear, and CNC drives the head along the part path.

Narrow kerfKerf runs about 0.08–0.1 mm, so parts nest tightly and edges need little cleanup.
CNC accuracy±0.03 mm/m positioning and ±0.02 mm/m repeatability on the models rated for it.
Fiber laser sourcesMaxphotonics or Raycus sources from 1.5 kW up to 30 kW, matched to material and thickness.
Assist gas sets the edgeOxygen for carbon steel, nitrogen for a bright edge on stainless.

All three families run international-brand fiber sources with Raytools auto-focus cutting heads, linear guides from Hiwin or Kotec and Hanli / S&A chillers. Traverse speeds run 60–100 m/min depending on model; thickness figures are maximum single-pass and depend on material and assist gas.
