The Process Step by Step
- Beam generation — a fiber laser produces a high-energy beam.
- Focusing — the cutting head focuses it to a small spot for high energy density.
- Melting / vaporizing — the spot melts or vaporizes a narrow kerf.
- Assist gas — oxygen, nitrogen or air clears the molten material and shapes the edge.
- CNC motion — the head follows the programmed path; auto-focus keeps the spot correct.
- Result — a clean, accurate part with little distortion.
