Industrial 6-Axis Arms
FANUC six-axis robot body. ±0.02 mm repeatability, 25 kg wrist payload (12 kg at the J3 arm), 4000 mm/s wrist speed, 210 kg robot mass.
±0.05 mm repeatability, 10 kg rated wrist payload, 214 kg body, IP54 body and wrist, under 80 dB(A).

A laser stripe is projected across the joint and imaged by a camera; the controller extracts joint coordinates, mismatch and gap, then guides or corrects the path in real time. Non-contact, fast and tolerant of part-to-part variation.

What Makes It Work on the Floor
The arm returns to the same path every cycle, so weld appearance does not drift across a shift.
Hand-guided drag teaching through an app replaces the teach pendant: an operator walks the head along the seam and saves it.
The same laser source and wobble gun also run hand-held, so one system covers robotic and manual welding.
Recall proven settings per material and thickness, with dual-temperature water cooling holding the source stable.
With the optional laser seam tracker the head scans the joint before welding, resolving lateral features to 0.03–0.04 mm and correcting for part-to-part variation.

What Is a Robotic Laser Welding Machine?
A robotic laser welding machine mounts a fiber laser welding head on a programmable multi-axis arm. The head follows a taught path, delivering consistent welds at production speed on complex 3D geometry that is slow or awkward to reach by hand.
This build uses the JAKA ZU5 six-axis collaborative arm: 954 mm working radius, 5 kg payload, ±0.02 mm repeatability, IP54 protection and a 158 mm base. Because it is a collaborative arm, paths are set by hand guiding rather than by programming, and the cell does not have to be built around a fixed industrial robot.

Weld capability also depends on joint type and fit-up: filler-wire seams up to 1.2 mm gap, autogenous welds up to 15% of plate thickness. Ask us for the recommended parameter table for your material.
