Laser marking power

Watts aren’t a score to max out — they’re a tool to match. Light codes on soft metal want little power; deep marks on hard alloy want plenty. Buy the wrong end of that range and you either crawl or overpay.

What Watts Buy You

More power means faster cycles and deeper marks. A 20W head suits light, fast work. A 100W head drives deep engraving and high-volume lines without slowing down. In between, 30W and 50W cover most production.

Reading the Spec

Power is only half the story; speed and field round it out. Our fiber heads run 1064 nm at up to 10,000 mm/s with ±0.002 mm repeat accuracy, across fields of 100–300 mm set by the lens. Lining these up lets two quotes be compared fairly.

Picking by Material and Volume

Soft metals and plastics rarely need more than 30W. Tool steel, deep IDs and busy lines lean toward 50W or 100W. Fiber sources are air-cooled and rated for long service life, so the running cost stays low whichever wattage you choose.
