Overview
On a packaging line that never stops, the code has to land on the move. A flying CO2 coder does exactly that — marking date, batch and traceability codes as parts travel down the conveyor.
Why Flying CO2 Works
The marking head keeps pace with the line, so coding happens without pausing production. A touch-screen flying-marking system (version 3.0) drives it, with a high-speed digital galvanometer for fast, accurate placement. It’s the staple for pharma, cosmetics, food and tobacco packaging, and runs on non-metal and coated surfaces — PPR, PVC and PE, paper, plastic, glass and painted or anodized metal.
Built to Last
The mark is a surface change, not ink, so it leaves no solvent residue and won’t rub off — a cleaner, lower-running-cost alternative to inkjet coding. The CO2 tube is rated beyond 20,000 hours and carries a 12-month warranty; gas-inflation (recharge) service is available for the source.

Line speed (m/min) depends on character height, code content and conveyor setup; we confirm the achievable rate against your line and a real sample rather than quoting a headline figure.
How an Inline Job Is Set Up
- Mount the head over the conveyor and set the focus with the dual red-light autofocus.
- Enter the code (date, batch, serial, barcode or QR) on the touch screen.
- Run a sample at line speed, check contrast, then save the recipe.
- Tie the trigger to the line sensor.
- Run production and verify codes inline.
CE Compliance
Every machine ships CE-marked, with conformity documentation available on request. We never claim SASO, SABER, GCC or UKCA we do not hold.
Getting It Right Before You Buy
Tell us your part, material and line speed. We’ll code a sample at speed, show you the result, and confirm the achievable rate before you order.
