Overview
A 20W or 30W fiber head is the common starting point for metal marking — enough power for clean, fast surface marks without paying for capacity you won’t use.
Why 20W–30W Works
At these levels the beam marks codes, logos and serials crisply and quickly. It’s the right fit for light-to-general production on metal and hard plastic, where the job is contrast and legibility rather than depth.
Built to Last
The beam changes the surface itself, so nothing is added on top. The result won’t smear, peel or wash off, and it holds up to heat, oil, solvents and years of handling.
Specs That Matter
Fiber marking build; values model-dependent, confirmed per order.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Laser type | fiber |
| Wavelength | 1064 nm |
| Output power | 20W / 30W |
| Beam quality M² | ≤ 1.4–2 (power-dependent) |
| Marking field | 100–300 mm (lens options) |
| Marking speed | up to 10,000 mm/s |
| Repeat accuracy | ± 0.002 mm |
| Cooling | air-cooled |
| Source working life | long-life fiber source |
How a Job Is Set Up
- Load the part and set the focus distance for the lens.
- Import the mark file and set pulse, speed and frequency.
- Run a sample on scrap, check contrast, then save the recipe.
- Fix the jig for repeat positioning and start the batch.
- Scan the codes and log first-article approval.
Applications
Serial numbers, 2D codes, logos and date stamps on metal and hard plastic — light-to-general production.
CE Compliance
CE-marked, with conformity documentation available on request. We never claim SASO, SABER, GCC or UKCA we do not hold.
Getting It Right Before You Buy
Send us a part. We mark it at 20W and 30W, show you the trade in speed and contrast, then quote against it.
