Choosing Laser Cleaner Power

Laser cleaning power isn’t a long ladder of models — it comes down to two proven formats. Match the format to your rust-layer thickness, the area you need to clear and the material, and the power follows.

Pulsed 50–100 W — Portable & Precision

Battery-portable, air-cooled pulsed units for fine and light-duty work: thin surface rust, coatings and oxide, delicate parts, pre-treatment and spot cleaning where a heavy beam would risk the substrate. Nano-level control, no consumables and no secondary pollution. Choose pulsed when the job is detail, mobility or heat-sensitive material — not raw throughput.

Continuous 3000–6000 W — Heavy Production

Water-cooled continuous-wave machines for high-throughput industrial cleaning: thick scale and rust, multi-layer paint, large surface areas and shipyard or structural work. The 6000 W build removes rust at 50–100 m²/h and strips paint at 30–60 m²/h — about 40% cheaper than sandblasting on hull work, with a 99.5% first-pass yield in pre-weld cleaning. Pick 3000 W for general heavy duty, 6000 W for the thickest scale (≥3 mm) and multi-layer coatings (≥5 layers).

How to Choose

  • Rust / coating thickness: thin surface rust and coatings → pulsed 50–100 W; thick scale (≥3 mm) or multi-layer paint → continuous 3000–6000 W.
  • Area & throughput: spot and small parts → pulsed; large surfaces and production lines → continuous (50–100 m²/h at 6000 W).
  • Material sensitivity: delicate or heat-sensitive substrates → pulsed, for controllable low-heat cleaning; robust steel structures → continuous.
  • Mobility: field / on-site / no mains → battery-portable pulsed; fixed shop with power and water → continuous.
