Overview
The galvo head is the heart of almost every production marking machine — and it’s what gives laser marking its speed.
Why a Galvo Head Works
Two fast mirrors steer the beam across the part instead of moving the part itself. That delivers high speed and tight repeatability over the whole field, and pairs with an F-theta lens to keep focus flat edge to edge. Built-in dual red-light positioning shows the mark area before you fire.
Built to Last
The beam changes the surface itself, so nothing is added on top. The result won’t smear, peel or wash off, and it holds up to heat, oil, solvents and years of handling.
Specs That Matter
Scan speed reaches 10,000 mm/s at ±0.002 mm repeatability. The field is set by the F-theta lens — 110×110, 200×200 and 300×300 mm typical, across a 100–300 mm range — with minimum line width 0.1 mm and character height 0.15 mm. The head pairs with fiber, CO2, UV or MOPA sources.
How a Job Is Set Up
- Load the part and set the focus distance for the lens.
- Import the mark file and set pulse, speed and frequency.
- Run a sample on scrap, check contrast, then save the recipe.
- Fix the jig for repeat positioning and start the batch.
- Scan the codes and log first-article approval.
CE Compliance
CE-marked, with conformity documentation available on request. We never claim SASO, SABER, GCC or UKCA we do not hold.
Getting It Right Before You Buy
Send us a part. We run it on the galvo build we’d quote, show you the result, then quote against it — so you order with the setting sheet already proven.
