Why CO2 Works on Wood
At 10.6 µm the beam is absorbed by wood, burning a brown contrast or engraving depth depending on power and passes. Bamboo, plywood, MDF and cork all respond well, with the result set by speed and power.

The mark is burned into the surface itself, so it won’t smear, peel or wash off, and it holds up to handling and time.

How to Mark Wood
- Fixture the part and set the focus to the surface.
- Import the mark and set power and speed for the wood.
- Run a sample, check contrast and depth, then save the recipe.
- Set repeat positioning and start the batch.
- Inspect and log first-article approval.
