Factory-direct fiber laser cutters make clean, fast cuts in carbon and stainless steel sheet, from thin gauge up to thick plate, with little distortion and minimal edge finishing.

Cutting Capacity for Steel
Maximum single-pass capacity by laser power:
| Laser power | Carbon steel | Stainless steel |
|---|---|---|
| 3000 W | up to 18 mm | up to 10 mm |
| 6000 W | up to 27 mm | up to 18 mm |
| 30 kW | up to 55 mm | up to 45 mm |
Maximum single-pass, material-dependent; continuous-duty figures available on request. Oxygen suits thicker carbon steel; nitrogen gives clean, oxide-free edges on stainless. For the full power lineup and detailed specs, see high-power fiber options.
How to Cut Steel Sheet
- Import the part file (reads PRO/E, UG, SolidWorks IGS) and nest the parts.
- Load the sheet on the exchange table; set the sheet origin.
- Select power, assist gas (O₂ for thick carbon, N₂ for stainless) and the matching process parameter from the library.
- Run a test pierce and confirm focus.
- Cut the nest; the second table loads in parallel.
- Unload and inspect the edge; adjust parameters if needed.
Applications & Use Cases
Structural and bracket parts, enclosures and chassis, stainless kitchenware and food-grade equipment, panels and signage, and general steel subcontract cutting.

CE & Compliance
CE-marked; CE, FDA and SGS documentation available on request.
Choosing the Right Power for Steel
Pick power by your thickest steel and required speed — heavier plate needs higher power for single-pass cuts and faster edge speed. The Raytools CNC ships with a one-click process-parameter library matching material and thickness. Tell us your material mix and we’ll recommend a configuration.
