Why Fiber & MOPA Work on Precious Metals
A fiber beam marks gold and silver crisply at very small sizes. A MOPA source keeps heat low, protecting thin settings, stones and solder joints — important on delicate pieces. A rotary axis turns rings and bands so the inside marks evenly.

How to Mark a Piece
- Fixture the piece (rotary for rings) and set the focus.
- Import the logo, hallmark or serial and set low-heat parameters.
- Run a sample on scrap, check detail and that the piece is unaffected, then save the recipe.
- Mark the piece and inspect under magnification.
- Log first-article approval.
